Communion for the Homebound and Sick

We strive to care for our homebound brothers and sisters.  Eucharistic Ministers and Pastoral Care Ministers are available to bring Communion to homebound parishioners, as well as those who have transitioned to assisted living or hospice care in the Bellevue area.

To schedule a visit or volunteer to be a Eucharistic Minister for our homebound and sick members, contact Linda Geere or call the parish office at (425) 454-9536.

Requirements for this ministry are Eucharistic Ministry training and Safe Environment training.  The time commitment for this ministry is 1 to 2 hours per week.

Funeral Planning

The death of a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences of life.  The prayerful support and assistance of your Church family can be indispensable. We’ll walk you through the planning of a Funeral Mass, a simpler style prayer service, a graveside committal, or another appropriate remembrance of your choice.

To speak with someone about a funeral, just call us at (425) 454-9536

Ministry to Catholics who are Sick or Dying on the Eastside

The Eastside Deanery Pastoral Care ministry coordinates Catholic pastoral care at Eastside Hospitals and “after hours” emergency pastoral care to the sick and dying throughout the Eastside.

HOSPITAL MINISTRY

  • Overlake Hospital
  • Evergreen Hospital
  • Evergreen Hospice
  • Swedish Hospital in Issaquah
  • Snoqualmie Valley Hospital

If you or someone you know in the hospital is requesting communion, anointing of the sick, reconciliation (confession) or “Last Rites,” please call Eastside Deanery Pastoral Care Ministry 425-655-3200.

AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY CALLS THROUGHOUT THE EASTSIDE

Call 425-655-3200

When parish offices are closed at night and on weekends, the Eastside Pastoral Care Ministry is responsible for coordinating emergency sick calls for individuals who are ill or in their final days.  This service is available for those at home, in adult family homes, nursing homes, or hospitals.

If you or someone you know is sick or nearing the end of life and urgently needs a priest after office hours, or if you are unable to contact the parish office during business hours, please call 425-655-3200

For regular, non-emergency pastoral care for the sick or dying, feel free to reach out to the parish office.  It is generally recommended that anyone who is ill or approaching the end of life contact their parish to arrange for the sacraments.
