Funeral Rites

In the Funeral Rites of the Catholic Church, we celebrate the profound journey of death, burial, and resurrection in Christ. We give thanks to God for the precious gift of your loved one’s life and their eternal existence in Jesus Christ. We pray for their soul, that they may find peace and enter heaven, while we stand together in shared sorrow.
A funeral is more than a farewell; it is a powerful act of faith expressed by the people of God, the Church. While it carries a seriousness, it is also a moment of hope and joy—a joyful expression of our faith and the fulfillment of God’s baptismal covenant with us.
To prepare a funeral or burial for your loved one, contact Linda Geere or the parish office at (425) 454-9536.
AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY CALLS THROUGHOUT THE EASTSIDE
Call 425-655-3200
When parish offices are closed at night and on weekends, the Eastside Pastoral Care Ministry is responsible for coordinating emergency sick calls for individuals who are ill or in their final days. This service is available for those at home, in adult family homes, nursing homes, or hospitals.
If you or someone you know is sick or nearing the end of life and urgently needs a priest after office hours, or if you are unable to contact the parish office during business hours, please call 425-655-3200.
For regular, non-emergency pastoral care for the sick or dying, feel free to reach out to the parish office. It is generally recommended that anyone who is ill or approaching the end of life contact their parish to arrange for the sacraments.
